MagCAD Specialized Allez Sprint Top Bearing Cover - SL7
This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover is not the same 3D file shared extensively online and sold by various retailers without license or validation. This bearing cover is designed from scratch, developed and tested by the MagCAD team in-house to ensure you get a high quality part that fits perfectly and will keep you safe for many years of enjoyable riding on your Allez Sprint.
What's Included
- 1x 3D printed top bearing cover.
Please ensure you read the description here and fully understand what is included. This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover can be paired with various other MagCAD or OEM Specialized items to complete your Allez Sprint assembly. Different combinations will be pictured for reference but only the bearing cover is supplied in this listing.
The Specialized Tarmac SL7 stem, OEM stem cover and OEM spacers are pictured for reference only and not included.
Overview
This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover allows you to mount the Specialized Tarmac SL7 stem and SL7 spacers to your compatible Specialized Allez Sprint (2022-2025) road bike.
The Tarmac SL7 stem has been continued with the launch of the Tarmac SL8 and supports semi-integrated cable routing and direct computer mounts. This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover improves the aesthetics and integration between cockpit and frame when fitting the Tarmac SL7 stem (not supplied) and OEM spacers (not supplied) to your Allez Sprint.
Please note: This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover is simply the transition from Allez Sprint frame to Tarmac SL7 spacer. The Tarmac SL7 spacers are not supplied here but can be sourced from Specialized directly, as part of the Tarmac SL7 spacer kit (code: S202500009).
This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover can also be paired with the MagCAD Roval Rapide Specialized Tarmac SL7 Headset Spacer or the MagCAD Roval Rapide Specialized Tarmac SL7 Headset Kit - Short, allowing you to mount the new Roval Rapide integrated cockpit.
Electronic internal cable routing is supported in exactly the same way as the existing Specialized Tarmac SL7 setup.
Please note: This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover is only compatible with electronic shifting and does not support the additional cables for mechanical shifting.
Application
All MagCAD headset parts are 3D printed in a durable Nylon to ensure they are robust to many years of use. As with any steering related components they should be installed by a competent mechanic and inspected regularly. Incorrect assembly or mis-use may result in damage to the headset components and/or injury.
Particular care should be taken to ensure the internal cable routing is installed correctly and checked periodically.
This MagCAD Top Bearing Cover has a stack height of 13.2mm. With the Specialized Tarmac SL7 stem (not supplied) having a clamp height of 31mm and the OEM Tarmac SL7 top spacer (not supplied) having a height of 4mm the minimum assembly stack height is 48.2mm. Allowing for the 3mm steerer tube cut specified by Specialized you will therefore require a minimum 45.2mm of fork steerer, measured from the top bearing split compression ring to the top of the steerer.
Compatible With:
- Specialized Tarmac SL7/SL8 alloy stem.
- Specialized Allez Sprint (2022-2025) road bike.
Specifications
- Weight: 11 grams.
